A HARSH WINTER AWAITS THE UKRAINIAN PEOPLE

Direct support to the Ukrainian nation

Russia is mobilizing, the cold winter is on its way and young Ukrainian soldiers continue to sacrifice their lives.

In large parts of Ukraine, winter is challenging to say the least. The average temperature is usually around minus 20-25 degrees for several months. Russian artillery shelling aims to knock out Ukrainian infrastructure and power plants to make the living conditions of Ukrainian households impossible.

With this fundraiser, we aim to help the Ukrainian state prepare reserve operations for the cold winter months ahead. To be able to ensure access to electricity, heat and water for the civilian population and the infrastructure.

Here, we Swedes can give our support directly to the Ukrainian state through a donation to the Ukrainian embassy in Stockholm. These funds reach Ukraine immediately and the guarantors for this are Andrii Plakhotniuk, Ukraine's ambassador in Sweden, and Carl Vikingsson, Ukraine's honorary consul in Sweden and head of Sigma Technology Group, which has 2,000 IT consultants in Ukraine through its subsidiary Sigma Software.

Solidarity is important to us Swedes. Not only in words but also in actions. All gifts, no matter the size, are greatly appreciated.

Facts:

Appeal Ukraine has, so far this year, collected approximately SEK 19.5 million, which has been transferred to the Central Bank of Ukraine's special account for collections to support Ukrainians. The money has been used for:

• 24-hour food rations for the humanitarian hub in Mykolaiv oblast
• Medical equipment (eg tourniquets)
• Means and equipment for humanitarian demining
• Personal protective equipment
